Meet our Founder and Owner

I have always had a very special bond with animals. I grew up outside of Philadelphia in Montgomery County in a home full of cats that I loved caring for. As I got older, I knew that working with animals was what I was meant to do. I studied Animal Science at the University of Maryland and gained clarity that a career in veterinary medicine was the path for me. While working in veterinary hospitals as a high school and college student, I always loved the interactions I had not only with the pets but with their accompanying humans as well.

After college, I moved back to Philadelphia and attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine, receiving my degree (VMD) in 2016. Following vet school, I completed a one-year rotating internship in Medicine and Surgery at BluePearl Specialty and Emergency in Tampa, FL. Afterward, I worked out west at a busy small animal practice for several years before moving back to Philadelphia once more where I helped open two new hospitals for a veterinary start-up company.

I currently live in South Philly with my husband, a fellow veterinarian, and our three adopted senior cats. Outside of work I enjoy hiking, cooking, traveling, playing board games, and exploring new restaurants.

I couldn’t imagine starting a business in any other city. It’s been a dream opening Love City Vet to support the growing veterinary needs for pets in the area. My hope is it’s a space where the staff, pets, and community feel valued, welcomed, respected, and accessible to all.

Love City Vet is my love letter to the city I call home, the industry that’s my true calling, and the people and pets’ lives I hope to positively impact. I can’t wait to welcome you to your new neighborhood vet.
