Our Logo’s Story
Love City Vet logo is a tribute to Dr. Lenahen’s previous senior pets, Monroe and Josephine. Monroe was adopted in Nevada while she and her husband lived out west and started their passion for adopting older animals. Josephine was their adopted senior dog with significant mobility issues. She needed a wagon to facilitate trips to the park or longer exertions around the city -like visits to Passyunk Ave, City Hall, and Penn’s Landing! Being a desert kitty, Monroe always enjoyed sunbathing outdoors so one day they placed Monroe in the wagon to get some fresh air and he loved it!
Josephine and Monroe would sit together in the wagon as they were wheeled around Philadelphia with passerbyers eager to stop and say hi to the senior pair. At Love City Vet, pets of all ages and people of all backgrounds are welcome -so hop in the wagon!
