When I set out to open Love City Vet, I knew vaccine clinics were something I wanted to bring to fruition. Creating accessible preventative care for all pets in our community wasn’t just a nice idea – it was key to staying true to our Core Values.

After the wonderful turnout at our November vaccine clinic, we’re excited to announce another opportunity for the community on March 9th!

Why We Started Offering Vaccine Clinics

Few things are more heartbreaking than seeing preventable diseases harm pets simply because their families couldn’t afford timely vaccines. We’ve held tearful conversations with owners facing expensive treatments – or worse, saying goodbye – because basic preventative care wasn’t accessible.

This reality played a part in motivating us to create special vaccine clinic days where we:

    • Offer vaccines at discounted rates
    • Waive the normal exam fees
    • Focus solely on essential preventative care

These clinics don’t replace comprehensive wellness visits, but they ensure that cost barriers don’t leave pets unprotected against serious diseases while maintaining the high-quality care you expect from us.

The Power of Coming Together

What many people don’t see is how these clinic days transform our team. On vaccine clinic days, there’s a palpable energy at Love City Vet. Our staff comes together and works in synchrony focused on a shared mission. These shared experiences build the kind of team cohesion that translates into better care every day.

We’re also joined by wonderful volunteers from the community who help with everything from check-in to comforting nervous pets. Some are vet students getting valuable experience, others are relief veterinarians we’ve teamed up with in the past, as well as supportive partners of our staff wanting to contribute. Their enthusiasm is contagious and reminds us why we do what we do.

The Ripple Effect in Our Community

Each vaccine administered creates waves of positive impact:

    1. For individual pets, vaccines prevent suffering from diseases like parvovirus, distemper, rabies, and feline leukemia – illnesses that can cause tremendous suffering and are often fatal.
    2. For families, vaccines prevent the heartbreak of watching a beloved companion suffer from a preventable disease, not to mention the financial strain of emergency treatment (which typically costs 10-20 times more than prevention).
    3. For our community as a whole, higher vaccination rates create safer environments in dog parks, boarding facilities, and neighborhoods. This “community immunity” helps protect vulnerable pets who cannot be vaccinated due to age or health conditions.

Join Us on March 9th!

If your pet is due for vaccines, or you’re unsure about their protection status, consider this an invitation to join our community prevention effort.

We believe in removing barriers that keep pets from living their healthiest lives. And most importantly, we believe in the power of community to make life better for the animals we all love.
